Week-7

Thoughts

There are four milestones for this semester, [ 1. Dissertation, 2. Open-studios 3. Work submission (final table set up and digital submissions) 4. VIva-voce] and this week we finished with the first milestone - submitting the dissertation..(you can access the dissertation here). But even though it is over I am still quite worried about the fact that my work so far does not answer/fulfill the research objective: how does the use of physical computing enhance papercraft interactivity?. At this point I don’t have a final vision for my work yet. But I did have areas to focus on:

“In the context of the development of an interactive storybook, the project was still at its conceptual stage. While having a vision for the final outcome, there were still some areas within the concept that needed to be explored, such as - how can cohesiveness between physical computing and papercraft be ensured?; what more electronic components could be used to enhance papercraft interactivity?; and how can the interactive storybook that is connected to a screen, while having different areas of focus (the book and the screen),could still maintain a flow that ensured effective and comprehensive user experience?. In order to answer these questions, the study could further experiment with different ways to make one story interactive which could aid in exploring all possibilities and finalise one of the experiments as a foundation for a concrete concept plan.” (notes for further research - dissertation)

Further I just took a break and took rest for the remaining of week-7
